      • New Poll Feature! You asked for it (you didn’t, but here we are). I’ve added a fun new poll section to the newsletter where I’ll be asking the VERY IMPORTANT QUESTIONS that keep me up at night — and now they can keep you up at night too.
      • Some choices will be easy. Some will be agonising. All of them are completely XW-flavoured, ranging from character loves (and hates) to trope debates, with occasional detours into musical theatre, cats, history, and, of course, cake.

      • There are no wrong answers. (There might be wrong answers).
      • Results will be shared in the next newsletter — so choose wisely. Or not. I won’t judge. Probably.
    In other news:

     

    • Crocodile Tears had an amazing week last week and shot right back up to number 3 in its main category (LGBT Mystery) on Amazon. This is amazing considering I published it nine months ago! Thank you to everyone who has been spreading the word on social media! It’s much appreciated. (And please don’t stop!). 

    • Just a reminder that I’m a guest on the Rainbow Readers Cruise in Florida in August. This is a lovely four-day MM book signing event, where you can meet your favourite MM authors. Nora Phoenix, Lucy Lennox, Casey Morales and MANY others will be there too!

    • I’m writing… and in due course, if all goes well, I’ll share snippets with you. One of the perks of being a Walter’s World member is that you’ll be the first to read snippets, and see book covers, and many other Good Things.

            🏞️ London Life

            We’ve had a sunny day after months of rain! And purely by chance, it was the day I met up with my good friend Julie to visit The Last Days of Pompeii Immersive Experience in London’s Docklands.

            I was excited about this – I studied Classical Civilisation as part of my degree course and love the ancient world. I was therefore a bit underwhelmed by this immersive experience, which seemed largely aimed at school kids. The VR was good, but I didn’t learn anything about the events in Pompeii, and since these are well-documented, it felt like a wasted opportunity. 

            However, we had a fabulous mooch around an area of Docklands I haven’t been to before, with some amazing views, followed by a lovely long lunch sitting outside (in February!) and catching up, so it was a fab day. 

            Xanthe’s Exhibition Rating –  ⭐⭐⭐ – Underwhelming
