- I’ve never been to an author event, so I’m delighted to announce I’ve got two lined up (so far) for 2026.
- Firstly, I’m going to be at Shimmer in Birmingham (UK) in June.
- I’m also attending the Rainbow Readers Cruise in Florida in August.
- Emma is coming with me to both events. So, if you want to meet us and find out if we’re as silly in real life as we are online (spoiler – we are), then I hope to see you at one of these events.

- Watch out for a special edition of Walter’s World next Tuesday in celebration of my birthday (that IS my actual birthday – November 11). It’s a biggie as I’m entering a new decade (argh!). So I’m giving you a special birthday pressie to mark the occasion.

Do you remember November 1991?
Freddie Mercury had just died, my cat Lily had a litter of 5 beautiful kittens, and I had the flu. I was so sick I had to crawl to the toilet on my hands and knees.
Well, I’m currently recovering from being the sickest I’ve been since 1991. I’ve just had the most horrendous lurgi. It’s neither Covid nor the flu (I tested for both) but I feel far worse than the two times I’ve had Covid.
I must have caught it when I went to see The Producers in town with my friend Julie and dared to travel on buses and eat at a restaurant!
I’m thinking it’s all a reaction to my massive summer of publishing Dark Water. It’s like teachers who always get sick when term ends. I’ve had three colds since returning to London, but this is by far the worst.
On the plus side, I started reading Celia Imrie’s autobiography. Is anyone watching The Celebrity Traitors on UK TV? It’s bloody brilliant, and I’ve adored Celia since she was on Victoria Wood’s sketch show many moons again. She’s a comedy legend.
The Producers was fantastic! You know I adore musical theatre, and this was a terrific production that I thoroughly enjoyed. The sheer level of bad taste was epic and hilarious. Not for the easily offended!

Ever since Nico, Star, and Ryk became my roommates, I’d sensed something strange about them.
